How Much dose it cost?
Its absoloutly FREE for clients to place jobs on the site. We charge
the Fitters a small fee but only when they have had a quote accepted
by a client.
Are my details safe?
Yes, MyFitter will not disclose any information unless requested
by you. Any communication between you and the Fitters is carried
out within the 'My Account' section of the site which allows you
to decide who you wish to communicate with. Your personal
details and that of the Fitter are not disclosed until you accept
a quote.
We do not disclose your information to any third parties.
How do I contact a fitter?
From the 'View Fitters' page click on the name of the fitter and
then click the request quote button on the business description
page. An email will be sent letting them know you have requested
a quote. No personal details will be exchanged. Contact detais
are only exchanged when a quote has been accepted.
Will I always get a response to my job?
We will always send you an email confirming that you have
placed a job on MyFitter. You may not always get a response
from a fitter. This may be for a number of reasons:
- It might be a busy time for the relevant fitters in your area.
It might be that the size of the job wasn't suitable for the fitters in
your area.
Because you charge the fitters a fee that means
I will pay more for the job dosen't it?
The chances are you will pay less! for a couple of reasons:
- The system used by MyFitter actually encourages Fitters to keep
the price low in order to compete for the work.
- Because we provide an opportunity for the Fitters to gain work
without incurring marketing expenses the Fitters can lower the
price charged for thier service.
A fitter claims to have liability insurance
but how can I be sure?
A Fitter who has liability insurance will have a certificate from
their insurers. It should be easy for them to provide a copy before
you allow them to start any work.
How does the feedback system work?
The feedback system works in two ways:
- It enables new clients to check what previous clients have said
about a Fitter they have used.
- It encourages the Fitters to maintain their high standards in
order to get work on a continuing basis.
At MyFitter we only allow clients to leave feedback who have had work
carried out from a job which they posted on the site for tender and
accepted a genuine quote from a fitter registered on the site.
We constantly monitor the website to ensure the information is genuine
and up to date.
